Commercial Christmas Light Installation in Hickory, NC

Restaurants, retail centers, offices, car dealerships, and HOA common areas across Catawba County. We design it, install it around your hours, maintain it all season, and take it down in January.

Lighting a Business Is Not the Same Job as Lighting a House

A house gets looked at from the street. A storefront gets judged by every customer who drives past it, every night, for about six weeks. That changes what the job actually has to do.

It has to be lit and working before the Thanksgiving weekend, because that is when people start deciding where to eat and shop. It has to go up without closing your doors or blocking your parking. It has to stay lit, because a dark run over your entrance reads as neglect rather than as a burned-out bulb. And the crew on the ladders over your sidewalk has to be insured, because that is your liability if they are not.

That is the difference we build around: one point of contact, a full site walk with your property manager before any number is quoted, and a display sized to your building instead of a box of lights sized to a house.

Who We Light in Hickory and Catawba County

Restaurants & Bars

Patio lines, awnings, window frames, and roofline. Evening business means we install during the day, so your dinner service is never touched.

Retail & Shopping Centers

Consistent rooflines and entrances across multiple tenant spaces, coordinated through one point of contact for the property manager instead of tenant by tenant.

Offices & Medical Buildings

Restrained, professional displays. Clean roofline runs and a lit entry, sized so the building reads as festive without reading as a light show.

Car Dealerships

High-visibility roadside displays built to be read at speed: lot poles, showroom glass, and long roofline runs that hold up from the highway.

HOAs & Communities

Entrance monuments, clubhouses, and common areas, on a single agreement so the board is not chasing separate vendors for each amenity.

Churches & Civic Buildings

Steeples, porticos, and long approaches. Height and access are usually the constraint, and both get assessed at the site walk before we quote.

How the Season Runs

Commercial slots fill before residential does, because they take the most crew time and the most planning. The calendar below is why booking early is worth real money, not just peace of mind.

August and September: site walk and quote

We walk the property with you, check electrical access and anchor points, and hand you a firm written number. Booking in September earns 35 percent off, the largest discount of the season.

October: install begins

Crews start going up. Product is cut to fit your rooflines rather than run in stock lengths. October booking earns 20 percent off.

November: everything is lit

Remaining installs complete and timers are set so the display runs on a fixed schedule without anyone flipping a switch. November booking earns 10 percent off.

December: we keep it lit

Mid-season maintenance is included. If a run goes dark, it is a service call and not an extra line on an invoice.

January: takedown

We pull everything down and clean up. No boxes left in your stockroom and nobody from your staff on a ladder in January weather.

Off-season: storage

Your display goes back to our shop and is stored until next year, so you are not giving up warehouse space to hold it.

The discount ladder is a scheduling tool, not a sale. Booking early is what lets us plan crew time properly, so we pay you for it.

What a Commercial Quote Includes

Every commercial agreement covers the whole season end to end, so there is one number and no surprises after it:

  • Design and a full site walk with your property manager before any price is quoted
  • Commercial-grade LED product, leased and cut to fit your building
  • Installation scheduled around your operating hours
  • Timers set so the display runs on a fixed schedule
  • Mid-season maintenance for the entire season
  • Takedown in January
  • Off-season storage of your display
  • An insured crew, which matters when there are ladders over your sidewalk and parking

We do not publish a flat commercial rate, because the honest number depends on linear footage, building height and access, how many buildings or tenant spaces are included, and where the power runs. Homes are far more predictable, which is why we can publish residential ranges of $750 to $2,500 in our Christmas light installation cost guide.

There is no prepay and no monthly retainer. New customers pay a 50 percent deposit at booking and the balance at the job. Repeat customers pay at the job.

Commercial Installation FAQ

Do you install Christmas lights for businesses in Hickory, NC?
Yes. We install for restaurants, retail and shopping centers, offices and medical buildings, car dealerships, and HOA common areas throughout Hickory and Catawba County, plus Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Granite Falls, Statesville, Morganton, and Lenoir.
Will the install disrupt business hours?
No. We schedule commercial installs and takedowns around your operating hours, which usually means early morning before you open or after close. For restaurants and bars that run evening business, we work daytime. You tell us the window and we build the schedule around it.
How much does commercial Christmas light installation cost?
Commercial work is quoted after a free site walk rather than from a price list, because the number depends on linear footage of roofline, building height and access, how many buildings or tenant spaces are included, and where the power is. Homes are different and more predictable, so we publish residential ranges of $750 to $2,500 in our cost guide.
When do we need to book to be lit by Thanksgiving?
Book in September if you can. Commercial slots fill first because they take the most crew time, and September booking also earns the largest discount at 35 percent, dropping to 20 percent in October and 10 percent in November. Installs run October through November so the display is live for the Thanksgiving weekend into New Year.
What happens if a section goes dark mid-season?
Call us and we come fix it. Mid-season maintenance is included for the whole season. A dark run on a storefront is lost impressions every night it stays dark, so we treat it as a service call, not an extra.
Do we have to buy the lights, and who stores them?
You do not buy them. We run a lease program using commercial-grade LED product that we cut to fit your building, and we store everything between seasons so you are not giving up warehouse or stockroom space. Takedown in January is included.
Is there a minimum contract, and how does payment work?
No minimum. We do single-season and multi-year agreements, and multi-year clients get priority fall scheduling. There is no prepay and no monthly retainer: new customers pay a 50 percent deposit at booking and the balance at the job, and repeat customers simply pay at the job.

Commercial Christmas Lighting Near You

We are based on the north shore of Lake Hickory and run commercial installs across Hickory, Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Granite Falls, Statesville, Morganton, and Lenoir. Christmas Lights Hickory is part of the HydroClean family of home and commercial service companies, which has worked in this area since 2010, so the crew on your roof is not a seasonal contractor we met in October.
